Entender el mercado laboral para encontrar tu vocación profesional

En la primera regla Vikinga destacábamos la necesidad de conocerse a uno mismo. La segunda regla es la otra cara de la moneda; conocer las necesidades del mercado. El encaje entre estas dos facetas será clave para diseñar una carrera profesional de una manera realista. 3. Entender el mercado La búsqueda de trabajo nos exige preguntarnos lo que el mercado necesita y en qué puedes contribuir con una visión de largo plazo. En su famoso discurso presidencial, John F. Kennedy dijo: “ No preguntes lo que tu país puede hacer por ti, pregunta lo que tú puedes hacer por tu país “. ( Video del discurso ).  De igual forma, a la hora de buscar trabajo es importante plantearte qué puedes hacer por la sociedad teniendo en cuenta tus preferencias y habilidades.

¿Qué carrera profesional debo elegir?

La primera regla vikinga para construir tu carrera profesional no es nueva, se trata de la necesidad de "conocerse a uno mismo", concepto del que se hablaba en la Grecia Antigua (se dice que  estaba presente  en el Templo de Apolo en Delfos ).  Aplicado al mundo laboral, conocerse a uno mismo tiene dos vertientes: saber lo que te gusta y c uales son tus fortalezas.  En los últimos años, una de las aproximaciones a este concepto es la de   Ikigai que popularizó el World Economic Forum.   1. Clifford Alexander, who was   Secretary of the US Army from 1977 to 1981,  explains how he held up a list of proposed generals because of lack of diversity.
